The perfect Summer recipe for people like me who love Fall the most!

Peach Crumble

Sweet, juicy peaches baked beneath a buttery cinnamon crumble topping and served warm with homemade vanilla custard ice cream. This peach crumble is simple, comforting, and one of my favorite summer desserts to make during peach season.

Ingredients

Peach Filling

  • 7 ripe peaches, sliced

  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • Pinch of salt

Crumble Topping

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

For Serving

  • Vanilla ice cream or homemade vanilla custard ice cream

Instructions

Prepare the Filling

Preheat your oven to 375°F.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Toss until the peaches are evenly coated.

Transfer the peach mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Make the Crumble Topping

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Pour in the melted butter and mix with a fork until large crumbs begin to form.

Sprinkle the crumble evenly over the peaches.

Bake

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling around the edges and the topping is golden brown.

Allow the crumble to cool for 20–30 minutes before serving.

Serve

Serve warm with generous scoops of vanilla ice cream or homemade vanilla custard ice cream.

Notes

  • Leave the peach skins on for extra color and texture.

  • The crumble will continue to thicken as it cools.

  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

  • Reheat individual servings in the microwave or warm the baking dish in a 300°F oven.

Madeline’s Tip

The best part of this dessert is serving it warm with ice cream melting into the peaches. The contrast between the cold ice cream, juicy fruit, and buttery crumble topping is what makes it so irresistible.

From Madds: This is one of my favorite summer desserts to make when peaches are at their peak. The peaches become soft and jammy while the crumble turns golden and buttery. Serve it warm with melting vanilla ice cream and you'll have a dessert everyone goes back for seconds.
